Desen Halıçınarlı
Born in Izmir, Turkiye in 1983.
Desen Halıçınarlı graduated from Izmir I.S. Anatolian High School of Fine Arts in 2001, and graduated from Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting with honors (Sakıp Sabancı Awards).
In 2009 she complated a post-graduate program at the
Department of Painting, Institute of Social Sciences, Mimar Sinan
University of Fine Arts with thesis titled " The use of Urban Imagery in Painting".
She participated in 4 solo and many group exhibitions at domestic
and international.
Between 2011- 2022, she worked as a faculty member at ITU and she taught printmaking and basic design courses in the fine arts department.
Desen’s mural work on climate action was selected in the UNDP's 17 Global Goals (17 artist, 17 city, 17 gable) competition and she painted to the wall in Denmark in 2022. Her mural will continue to be exhibited for 5 years.
She continues her multidisciplinary art works in her studio in
Yeldeğirmeni/Kadıköy, Istanbul.
